But I use a doc cam already...

When filling out my Professional Development Plan, I always thought that I deserved the highest mark when filling out the technology piece. I used a document camera daily, children were on the computer and I utilized online videos from our counties Moodle site. Check, Check, and Check.
Then I took a class through my UF graduate program called Using the Internet in K-12 Instruction. All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!!! How little did I know. Could I please take back my IPDP's and give myself a 1? My eyes were opened to how much of a Digital Immigrant I was living in a Digital Native world.
At the end of the course my professor had the AUDACITY to ask us to implement one of the Web2.0 tools into our life and email her the link. Can you believe it? She actually wanted us to use what we have learned. Thank goodness there are teachers out there like Melissa MccAllister who want to see us succeed and change the life of our students one-by-one.
So that is the reason for this blog. To help change students one-by-one, whether you are in my classroom, a colleague, a fellow Grad student, or a Digital Immigrant yourself wanting to learn how to change your life through the Internet. If you have stumbled upon my blog, I hope you stay and follow along with me on my technological journey.
